Wednesday, September 13th
Dear SJS Parents,
On behalf of the SJS PTO Board, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our families for the 2017-2018 school year. We are looking forward to working with you to continue the partnership between parents and St. Joseph School in providing a quality Catholic education. In addition, we work to make the school year enjoyable and exciting for our parents, faculty, and students through various fundraising efforts.
Please join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 13, in the Parish Hall. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher(s), to visit the classrooms, and to connect with friends. Kindly reach out to our new families and welcome them as they begin their journey with us. Please consider sharing your time and talents as a volunteer for many of our school committees and activities. Sign-up sheets will be available for many opportunities in the back of the Parish Hall. It’s a great way to get involved with the school. We appreciate your support!

During classroom presentations, teachers will explain expectations, teaching style, homework policies, and curriculum. You will also witness the first ever evening edition of the WSJS News Show presented on the new ActivPanels. Two identical presentations will be held, with the exception of 7th and 8th grades. They will have their presentations in the Parish Hall and the order of presentations will be announced at the end of the PTO meeting. Please note that time is not available for individual parent/teacher conferences during your classrooms visits.
Kindergarten and First Grade Parents: Because Kindergarten and 1st grade have already had their Back to School orientation; teachers will not be giving formal presentations. However, each teacher will be in their classrooms to answer questions you may have.
We have a great year ahead and we look forward to your involvement!
Sincerely,
Erik Geho
PTO President
