In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd, the SJS Library is sponsoring a poetry contest for students in all grades. A prize will be awarded to the winning poet in these three age groups:
Winning poems will be read on the SJS News the week of Read Across America Day.
CONTEST RULES:
Rhyming poems are preferred, in tribute to Dr. Seuss.
The theme of the poem should be related to libraries, books and/or reading.
Some words can be nonsense words in the style of Dr. Seuss, but the poem must make sense.
Poems submitted must be labeled with the poet’s name and homeroom.
Poems must be typed.
Only one submission per student, please.
