This weekend, after all Masses, the SJS 6th grade students, in partnership with the Men’s Society, will distribute bags and flyers to all parishioners to collect food for the St. Lucy Project. The St. Lucy Project is a ministry of Catholic Charities that works to grow the existing food distribution network to reduce hunger in the Diocese of Arlington.
The following weekend, parishioners will return the bags filled with food and the 6th grade students will collect the food and assist in loading the truck.
To bring this project full circle, members of the Men’s Society, SJS faculty/staff and Y.E.S. Club students will travel to Manassas on November 4th where the St. Lucy Project Main Distribution Hub is located and sort and stock the donated food items. Our students are looking forward to your support!
