August 16, 2018The St. Joseph School Lunch/Recess Volunteer Program is a wonderful way to get involved and see the children during the school day. We thank you for your time and consideration!
What is expected as a lunch volunteer? Lunch volunteers provide assistance with monitoring the cafeteria. Duties may include:· Opening cartons, packages, or containers
· Remind students to use indoor voices and remain in their seat while eating
· Remind students to be respectful of one another
· Please respect the privacy of our students
· Have a happy and positive attitude!
What is expected as a recess volunteer? Recess volunteers help monitor recess for safe play. Duties may include:
· Remind students to put away equipment
· Volunteers are not expected to address behavior issues
· Volunteers may be asked to assist with taking a child to the nurse depending on the need.
· Please respect the privacy of our students
· Have a happy and positive attitude!
Recess Time Lunch Time 10:45am-12:45pm 11:00am-1:00pm
**Both lunch and recess volunteers should plan to arrive 5 minutes before your lunch/recess shift. Please sign in at the front office, wear a visitor badge, and check in with Deborah Carlitti in the cafeteria.
