The SJS CYO Alumni Basketball Tournament was held on Sunday, December 27, 2015. SJS alumni, currently in grades 9 through 12 were invited back to St. Joseph School to participate in this annual tradition.
There was a great turnout, about 50 alumni came back to play. The players were led by their former CYO coaches. Volunteers refereed and worked the table. More than 100 alumni, family members, volunteers and friends came to cheer on the players.
There were four games. In the first game, the current Senior class won against the Freshman Class. The current Sophomore class then lost to the Juniors in game two. The SJS Girl Alumni combined to play against each other in game three.
The Championship game consisted of the Juniors (Class of 2017) playing against the Seniors (Class of 2016). The Championship game went into overtime. The Juniors won 73 to 71.
