The SJS students will be participating in a schoolwide service project for the month of December. One of our neighboring schools is in need of meals for several struggling students who are living on very tight budgets and are not able to afford food. It is eye opening to think we have children in our backyard that are at risk of hunger. As we approach the holiday season, schools will be closed for a couple of weeks during the Winter break. Many of these students rely on the food from school to survive. In addition to packing food, students will be packing a reading book or toy as a gift to add to the food bags - thanks to our partnership with Barnes and Noble and our wonderful families that donated books from the Book Fair. We are proud of our SJS students as they are stewards of God and showing a noble act of kindness during the holiday season!
