The Fairfax County Public Library Summer Reading Program begins Thursday, June 23rd! Sign up at the Herndon Fortnightly branch or your local branch as soon as you can to begin reading and earning rewards! The Loudoun County Libraries' program has already begun - sign up for either or both and HAVE FUN READING ALL SUMMER!
Fairfax County Summer Reading Challenge:
The Summer Reading Challenge runs from June 23 to September 3. (Sign up begins June 23)
Kids from birth to third grade read 15 books; children can have books read to them. Kids from fourth to sixth grades read 10 books. Students in grades 7-12 read six books. Using our reading lists is not required.
Sign up and record your books online or get a reading log at your library.
Complete your reading and come in to your library branch by September 3 to receive a coupon book full of free and discounted prizes.
