Distance Learning - Spanish
Weekly Zoom Lessons:  
6G: Wednesdays  @ 1:45-2:15  
6W: Wednesdays @ 2:30-3:00 

Spanish assignments will be posted on Google Classroom on the days we regularly meet (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Some assignments will consist of Quizlet study sets, Kahoot multiple choice quizzes and videos.  Reminders to check the Spanish Google Classroom will be posted on the 6th grade websites on the days we have class.

Social Studies - Read pages 244 & 245 in text book. Go to Discovery Education through link.
If the link doesn't work search "The Roman Colosseum." Write paragraph summarizing the video on a google doc and submit.
Religion - Review all notes and re read chapters as needed for Unit 3 tomorrow.
Literature - Read Chapters 21 & 22.
On a google doc create 5 cause and effect statements from the novel through chapter 22.
English - Review rules for subject verb agreements in you text book on page 98. Complete work book p. 68, take a picture and submit.
Simple Solutions - Lesson 101
Did you answer the question of the day?
Math:  STUDY page 398.  Remember for fractions: divide numerator by denominator to get  a decimal.  Write the percent with a fractional part.  Complete page 398, #1-30.  Email or post on Google Classroom.
Science:  Complete the study guide on Google Classroom, using your notes and your Techbook.

Vocabulary - Chapter 12 Test - Did you take it?
Math:  Watch the video and complete the percent work on pages 396-397, # 1 - 29 all.  Email a picture of your work by tomorrow.
Science:  Go to Discovery Ed and find the assignment on "Explore" for Classifying Rocks. The directions for what to do are on Google Classroom.
English - Review Progressive Tense and Perfect tense verbs in your English Notebook. Remember these types of verbs are ALWAYS verb phrases. Progressive has an "i" - main verb ends in -ing. Perfect has a "t" - main verb is in the past.
Read the attached google doc story and complete.  
Literature- Review the types of Conflicts in your Literature Notebook.
Create a google document entitled Tuck Everlasting: Conflicts
Generate 2 examples for each type of conflict supported by text evidence.  
Religion - Go to website and play games for review of Unit 3 for test on Friday.
Social Studies - Re read p. 242.  On a google doc list the emperors following Augustus.  List two facts about each using bullet points.  On same page, make a list of Greek gods and the Roman coounterparts.  Tell what they are a god of.

Science:  Go to Discovery Ed and find the assignment on "Engage" for Classifying Rocks. There is no written assignment, so please mark "Turn it in" on Google classroom.

Vocabulary - Chapter  12 test tomorrow - Review roots and prefixes with website activities
English - Go to jeopardylabs.com, Play game reviewing the three types of verbs: action, linking, helping
                Write three sentences for each type of verb and identify each by creating a key at the bottom of the page
Religion - Go to website and read Chapter 10 - 15 reviews
               Test over Unit 3 on Friday
Social Studies - go to BrainPOP.com  Ancient Cultures.  Watch the videos "Roman Republic" and
"Pax Romana"  Then a paragrpah for each video summarizing the key points

Dear Parents:

As you may know, the third Tuesday of the month is designated as "Spirit and Service" days.  This month, we will be on our field trip to the National Hebrew Congregation.  Therefore, students are to be in DRESS UNIFORM. We will have our dress out day on Wednesday.
In order to participate in the Service portion of the program, we are going to have a classwide soup collection.  Please send in a canned soup Tuesday or Wednesday.  We will write notes/prayers to attach to the cans before donating them to the local food pantry.
